Memberships and Classes

Before purchasing a membership or wheel throwing or hand building pottery classes, please make sure that our studio is the right fit. Next Step Clay is an intermediate and advanced pottery making studio. If you are looking for beginner wheel throwing pottery classes, or hand building clay pottery classes, please visit our sister location at Out of Step Clay(located a mile down the street in Wheat Ridge just outside Denver) to see their available offerings. Mass production artist should also look elsewhere.

Membership

General Membership Benefits

$225 a month, (first month is $500(includes 25 pounds of clay and included last month payment))

-access to the Next Step Clay studio 6 days a week(50 available open hrs. Closed Monday's).

-use of all next step studio general equipment and wheels.

-access to classroom wheels during non class times.

-options to work with different types of clay(for purchase on our website)

-ability to purchase additional approved glazes outside of Next Step Clay's normal glaze offerings

-a personal 2x4’ shelf to store your work, tools, and clay

-monthly potluck where Next Step staff will demo new techniques and other social events.

-first access to any workshops and classes we offer.

-input, guidance, and support from the next step staff

Membership+ Benefits

$325 a month

-2 one hr private pottery making lessons per month from either Griffin or Joshua tailored to your individual needs and interests. or,

-25 pound bag and 1hr included clay pottery classes with your monthly membership

Memberships start on the 1st of each month

2 month membership commitments are required with a months notice of your intent to leave the studio.

Membership should be paid before a new month or else your spot will be offered to anyone on our wait list.

Members will not be allowed to fire their own work or enter the kiln area without a staff member(Next Step staff will handle all kiln work for you).

Member will be working recreationally. Production pottery, etsy shops, and other work for regular sales will not be allowed in our space. We want to cultivate a healthy creative community but can not support your individual ceramic art business.

**YOU MUST BE A STUDENT AT OUT OF STEP CLAY OR NEXT STEP CLAY FIRST BEFORE BECOMING A MEMBER**

Classes

Are you ready for you next step in clay but maybe not ready to be independently working in our studio? Advanced classes are a great way to familiarize yourself with our space and get your skills in shape for a more independent experience as a member. It is also the best way to becoming a member.

-Classes include up to 25 lbs of clay per six week session. In class Materials, tools and firings are covered in the class fee.

-up to 4 additional open studio hrs per week durning non class hrs.

-use of studio glazes only.

**All students and members must sign a liability waiver as well as a studio code of conduct agreement to participate in any activities in the Next Step Clay Studio**

Memberships: $225 per month($500 for first and last month and includes a bag of clay)

First month and last month membership fees are due at the initiation of your membership. Each following month must be payed 3 days early or your last month funds will be used and we will look to replace your membership spot.

-25 pound bag and 1hr included clay pottery classes with your monthly membership

Classes : $350 per six week class or $445 for an eight week session

This includes six weeks of classes, up to 4 hrs of additional studio hrs per week, and up to 25 lb use of clay. Students may not purchase additional clay. *This is the best path to a membership if you are new to our studio*

Clay: $50 for a 25 lb bag

This fee covers your clay, studio glazes, and firing costs. Members are responsible for recycling their own clay.
